●The Concrete Titan™ 125E is the
ONLY concrete mixing trailer with a full 1.25 cubic yard (956 liter) capacity.
With a GVWR of 9,800 lbs (4,445kg) the Concrete Titan™ can easily handle
full loads of concrete. With 25% greater concrete capacity, you will sell more
concrete in fewer loads than with the smaller, lightweight competitive machines.
Strength matters. The Concrete Titan ™has it!
●The Concrete Titan™ is powered by the powerful
KOHLER Command Pro engine, which is noted for its fuel-efficiency, its quiet
operation, and its tremendous torque. And it is one of the easiest-starting
engines on the market. KOHLER parts and service is available everywhere, and
parts prices are lower than most other engine manufacturers. Founded in 1873,
KOHLER has long been one of America’s leading engine manufacturers.
●Our older machines used old-style, power-robbing gear pumps
- and all of our competitors still do. The CCT125E utilizes a
Variable-Displacement, Axial-Piston, Pressure-Compensated, Load-Sensing pump.
The 125E uses engine power based on the load, resulting in much
longer
engine-life, and much less fuel consumption. The system stays pressurized at all
times, so the full power of the engine is available at any load or speed-range.
The pump generates only the flow that is needed for the speed and power
required, unlike a gear pump that pumps its full flow all the time, so the
entire system runs cooler- and that means longer component life for the entire
hydraulic system. Our hydraulic tank is 30% larger than our competitor’s too,
which means a longer retention time in the tank, cooler oil, and more surface
area to dissipate heat. Heat is the enemy of hydraulics, and we have drastically
reduced the heat-load on the system.
●We use Closed-Center Hydraulic Valves manufactured
exclusively for the Concrete Titan™ by The Cross Company. The control
lever for Drum Rotation Speed & Direction allows smooth starts and stops with no
sudden forward-neutral-reverse shock loads, and the speed is infinitely-variable
in both directions, with the single lever. The old-style, separate
lever-operated direction controls, and the separate speed-control valve are no
longer necessary. Our new configuration means much simpler operation, much less
stress on all of the hydraulic components, and fewer parts. Less hosing is used,
with fewer places to develop leaks. And, where possible, we now use steel
hydraulic lines instead of hoses resulting in lower maintenance and greater
durability. To emulate the variable controls of the Concrete Titan™, at
least one of our competitor’s is using a knob-type speed control, which is
extremely dangerous in an "emergency stop" situation.
●Both our customers and our competitor’s customers have long
complained that the fenders on all of our machines were too "flimsy". Minor
bumps, or standing on the fenders almost always resulted in dents and dings that
were unsightly- an important issue if you are trying to keep your mixing
trailers looking good for rental use. The Concrete Titan™ 125E has
heavy diamond-plate fenders that will easily withstand a person’s weight,
and will stay new-looking much longer that the "flimsy" type we formerly used,
and which our competitor’s still do...in fact, some of our competitors have even
resorted to plastic, (CLICK
HERE to see it) which fades and becomes brittle over time! We have
also added a steel liner inside the fenders to keep road-dirt off your machine.
Our new arrangement is much stronger, protects your machine and tires better,
and simply looks better.
●We have used a much stronger gearbox than most of our
competitors since we began building Concrete Titan™’s many years ago.
With the 125E, we began using one three times stronger than our older
ones. We are determined that the gearbox will never be an issue with our
machines. The Concrete Titan™ is the original mixing trailer equipped
with heavy-duty spring suspension on our gearbox to absorb any shocks from the
drum, and to give maximum protection to the Drum Drive.
●The 125E is equipped with an on-board water tank,
with hydraulically-driven pump, hose, and brass nozzle. Your customer’s wash-out
your Concrete Titan™ on their jobsite...not at your yard. No other
manufacturer of concrete mixing trailers offers you the convenience of an
on-board water system.
●We use the Bulldog™ clamp-type hitch for easy hookup
to the towing vehicle, and our hitch can be readily raised and lowered by use of
a simple hand-crank to set the proper tongue-weight. Our powerful surge-brake
actuator is rated at a full 10,000 pounds. That’s
30% more
stopping-power than many of our competitors.
●ALL of our lighting wiring is inside the frame
out of harm’s way. A pigtail plugs into a socket located on the towing arm, and
can be simply unplugged when not needed. Our taillights are rubber-gusseted and
recessed into the back bumper, where they are not easy to damage or tear-off.
Compare our lighting and wiring to the "boat trailer" lighting, and the dangling
wiring of our competitor’s machines.
●ALL of our CONCRETE TITAN™’s meet USDOT lighting
requirements; our competitor’s mixing trailers DO NOT. (Note:
Our competitor's machines are illegal. They do not meet the lighting
requirements of Federal Regulation 49 CFR Subpart B, FMCSR Part 393. Check with
your state authorities before operating.)
●Where possible, our brake plumbing is inside the
frame. Where it must be exposed over the axles, the brake lines are placed
to make it almost impossible to hit them or damage them...and they are mounted
in rubber bushings so vibration won’t loosen or abrade them. Safety is becoming
more of an issue every day. You aren’t likely to see crushed, broken or dangling
brake lines on your Concrete Titan™.
●EVERY frame pin is bushed, O-Ring sealed, and greaseable.
Your Concrete Titan™ won’t wear-out the pins or wallow in the frame.
Nobody else goes to these lengths to keep their machines tight, and all of the
frame components aligned. There is no way to lubricate our competitor’s frame
pins.
●Your Concrete Titan™ is equipped with two, full 8"
(20.32cm) industrial-duty drum-support casters rated at 4,500 lbs each.
Each caster is equipped with two greasable Timken™ Tapered Roller Bearings.
●EVERY Concrete Titan™ has a built-in socket in the
rear tilt-frame for the Titan Chute, a durable urethane chute offered as an
option. No flimsy add-on brackets are required for this chute.
We certainly invite you to compare the Concrete Titan™
125E alongside any competitor’s machine. We build heavy-duty construction
machinery that is designed to give our customer’s the productivity, durability,
and economy they expect from a construction machinery manufacturer. So, by all
means, contact our competitors for a side-by-side comparison. The difference
will be quite apparent. Call us today to get your own Concrete Titan™ on
the production schedule!
Pitts Engineering is the ONLY manufacturer of concrete mixing
trailers to be awarded the coveted "CERTIFIED MANUFACTURER" designation by the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers. This award
is only given after a detailed on-site inspection of the products and facilities
of a manufacturer for compliance with their stringent manufacturing guidelines
and Federal regulations.
